Located at the base of Mt. Sopris in Carbondale, the Colorado Hemp Education Association is dedicated to the research and development of a commercial hemp industry. Because this is a brand new endeavor for Colorado farmers, many questions need to be answered to chart a path forward. CHEA hopes to facilitate the procurement of hemp seed for farmers and give them the information necessary to develop a viable agricultural operation. We will also be researching all aspects of the hemp industry from growing to processing to manufacturing to selling. The ultimate goal is to revitalize our economy with hemp, provide a sustainable agricultural model and create social equity (fair access to livelihood, education, and resources) for everyone involved.
We've been doing everything we can to raise awareness about the importance of creating this new industry. In 2020 we plan to take the next step and become an official 501c3 non-profit corporation to expand our advocacy and outreach programs. Hemp offers the solution, but time's a wasting, so thank you for supporting our mission in any way you can!
