How Does Hemp Help Us Heal? The Science of Cannabis
The scientific fact that all mammals have an endocannabinoid system wasn't discovered until the 1990's. It's been very disappointing that the United States is so far behind countries like Israel in doing solid medical research on Cannabis. Maybe now funding will be forthcoming. Here's another interesting chart.
Public sector Cannabis research is finally allowed to move forward and in 2021 a variety of new cannabiniods have been discovered. CBDH, CBDV and CBDP are some of the latest. The U.S. government, however, has done plenty of studies the public is just now learning about. Here's some we copied right from the National Cancer Institutes Website in 2014.
Wow! While most mainstream doctors continue to tow the line that Cannabis has very little real medical benefits, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, with his whole series of investigations (the Weed series) has educated thousands of parents with epileptic children whose kids now have dramatic relief from their life threatening seizures. The medical evidence for the benefits of this plant is now piling up in millions of households across the planet. We sincerely hope 2021 will be the year the AMA will work with it's partners to become the champions of a new age of Cannabis medical research. The U.S. lags far behind countries like Israel, China and Canada in any kind of hemp R&D, with the exception, maybe, of Genetic Editing for Cannabis cultivation.
